At our school, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to thrive — to feel confident, capable, and seen. For my English Language Development (ELD) students, many of whom are new to the United States and still learning English, every small step toward communication is a big victory. This year, thanks to the incredible generosity of Bachman Subaru, those victories have become even more joyful, engaging, and meaningful. When Bachman Subaru chose to adopt our ELD classroom, you did more than just provide funding — you gave my students the tools to connect with one another, to express themselves, and to grow as learners. With your support, we were able to purchase several English Language Learning games from Lakeshore, each carefully designed to build vocabulary, strengthen comprehension, and encourage authentic communication through play. For students who are still developing confidence in speaking English, games make learning feel safe and fun. I’ve watched students who were once hesitant to speak light up with excitement as they competed in a speaking race or worked together to match vocabulary cards. One student recently told me, “I like when we play because it helps me talk with my friends in English.” That sense of belonging — of learning through laughter and teamwork — is exactly what these materials have helped create. In our classroom, we celebrate every word spoken, every story shared, and every moment of courage. The Lakeshore games have transformed our daily lessons, turning grammar drills into games of strategy, and vocabulary practice into collaborative problem-solving. Students are now using new words more naturally in conversation, taking ownership of their learning, and, most importantly, feeling proud of their progress. Your kindness has reminded my students that there are people in our community who believe in them — people who care about their education and their future. For children who are adjusting to a new language, culture, and country, that message of support is powerful beyond measure. As their teacher, I am deeply grateful to Bachman Subaru for recognizing the importance of language learning and for helping us create a classroom environment filled with opportunity, creativity, and joy. You didn’t just donate materials — you invested in my students’ confidence, their voice, and their dreams. On behalf of our entire English Language Development class, thank you, Bachman Subaru, for your generosity and commitment to education. Because of you, our students are not just learning English — they are discovering the power of language to connect, to dream, and to succeed.

At Animal Care Society, our hearts are full of gratitude as we once again partner with Bachman Subaru for their Subaru Loves Promise. Year after year, Bachman Subaru has shown what true compassion looks like — not only through their generous support, but through the kindness and care they share with every animal they meet. Their dedication helps us continue our mission of giving every dog and cat a chance at a better life. Thanks to their partnership, we’re able to take in more animals who need a second chance, provide the medical attention they deserve, and prepare them for the loving homes they’ve been waiting for. The Bachman team goes above and beyond — offering not just donations, but genuine affection, warm smiles, and endless belly rubs for our adoptable pups. Their love helps our animals feel seen, safe, and hopeful again. This partnership doesn’t just help the animals who attend — it spreads awareness and compassion throughout our community, helping even more lives be changed for the better. From all of us at ACS, thank you, Bachman Subaru, for being the purr-fect partners in compassion.

A huge thank you to Bachman Subaru for adopting my second grade class at Jeffersontown Elementary through their Adopt A Classroom initiative! 💙 Because of your generosity, my students and I are so excited to pick out a new, more spacious classroom rug and a few other items that will make our room feel even more welcoming and comfortable for learning. Your support truly makes a difference in our little classroom community, we appreciate you! 🫶 — Mrs. Rayneisha Doak

We are incredibly grateful to Bachman Subaru for once again partnering with Jeffersontown Elementary through the Subaru Loves Learning initiative. Your continued support demonstrates a strong commitment to education and to the success of every student in our school community. This partnership not only uplifts our classrooms but also shows our students that their learning matters—not just to us as educators, but to valued community partners like you. The generous donation we’ve received will directly benefit all students by helping us provide essential classroom resources, learning materials, and enrichment opportunities that support academic growth and creativity. Your investment helps us create a more engaging and equitable learning environment where every child has the tools they need to thrive. This year, the impact of the Subaru Loves Learning initiative reached across every corner of our school. Classrooms adopted through this partnership spanned all grade levels—from kindergarten to fifth grade—ensuring that students at every stage of their learning journey were supported. In addition, our ECE (Early Childhood Education), ELD (English Language Development), and STEM programs were also included, allowing us to enrich instruction for our youngest learners, support our multilingual students, and enhance hands-on learning in science, technology, engineering, and math. From all of us at Jeffersontown Elementary, thank you for making a meaningful difference in our school once again!

Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Louisville, this is a harsh reality. 80 Love pillow blanket and art kits were distributed to the Resource Center at the UofL Health Brown Cancer Center. We divided them between our 3 locations. The patients who rec'd the Love blankets were so excited. Treatment can sometimes last long and make patients colder so these blankets of Love provide warmth and comfort and the art kits help them occupy time. Thank you Bachman Subaru for again thinking of our patients.

This season, as part of their Subaru Loves to Help® initiative, Subaru partnered with Operation Warm to to distribute over 100 brand new winter coats to children at Boys & Girls Haven. "Kids grow out of clothing about every six months, so for those in urgent need situations a coat and shoes that fit cannot be taken for granted. As part of our commitment to being 'More Than A Car Company', we are working to make sure that these children feel strong, confident, and prepared for the day." - Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Subaru of America Inc.

We are beyond excited to continue our partnership with Bachman Subaru through their Subaru Loves Pets initiative. This year’s event was more than just bringing dogs to the dealership—it was a true community effort that combined forces to raise awareness for our mission. Bachman Subaru’s generosity, along with the support of their customers, made a lasting impact on the lives of the dogs and cats in our care. Thanks to their donations, we can continue to provide essential care, food, and medical attention to animals waiting for their forever homes. We are deeply grateful for this partnership and look forward to all the good we can do together in the future. Thank you, Bachman Subaru, for your unwavering support and for showing the true power of community!

On behalf of everyone here at Jeffersontown Elementary, I wanted to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation. Your support means the world to us and is making a significant difference in the experiences and opportunities we are providing to our students. With your contribution, we have enhanced our Performing Arts and Visual Arts classes, benefiting the entire school, Kindergarten through 5th grade! This donation allowed us to purchase additional resources and materials and offer valuable experiences that enrich the lives of our students through dance, music, drama, and art. Your belief in the power of the arts to inspire, educate, and empower is truly appreciated. We're excited to continue nurturing creativity, fostering talent, and providing a platform for our students to shine brightly. Your generosity helps us make that possible. Thank you once again for your kindness and support!

On a chilly February 7th, the gym at Boys & Girls Haven buzzed with excitement as we prepared for a special event: Subaru’s Operation Warm Coat Drive. The generous team from Bachman Auto Group arrived, bringing with them over 150 warm coats to distribute to our foster youth. The gym, usually filled with the sounds of basketball games, was now lined with colorful coats of all sizes. As the youth arrived, their eyes lit up with delight at the sight of the new coats. Staff from both Boys & Girls Haven and volunteers from Bachman Auto Group worked together, helping each child find a coat that fit just right. The smiles on the children's faces were priceless as they tried on their new winter gear, feeling the warmth and care that went into each donation. The event was more than just a coat drive; it was a powerful reminder of the community’s support and the difference that acts of kindness can make. By the end of the day, the gym was filled with gratitude and hope, each coat a symbol of the community’s commitment to the well-being of these incredible young people.

Today we had the opportunity to visit our friends at Bachman Subaru where owner Teresa Bachman (right, holding check), General Sales Manager and Special Olympics coach Jeff Harmon (holding check) and the Bachman team presented a check for $39,254 to (l-r) SOKY President/CEO Trish Mazzoni and Athlete Ambassadors Kate Nason and Caitlin Roy. Bachman Subaru raised the money for Special Olympics during their annual Subaru Share the Love Event last Holiday season. In 11 years of including SOKY as a local option in the Share the Love Event, Bachman has now raised more than $330,000 to support our athletes! Previous year's checks hang proudly in the Bachman Subaru showroom. Thank you, Bachman Subaru

UofL Health Brown Cancer Center received 80 Love Blankets from Bachman Subaru and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This is our second year receiving the blankets. We will distribute them to all 3 of our locations. Our patients will use these to stay warm and comfortable during the long hours of chemotherapy. Several patients commented on the heart shape and love that it can be used as a pillow or blanket. Thanks again to Bachman Subaru and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for thinking of our patients again this year.

On October 21, Bachman Subaru welcomed Animal Care Society's dogs and volunteers into their Louisville location for an afternoon to celebrate the mission of Animal Care Society - to find safe and loving forever homes for adoptable dogs and cats. ACS brought three dachshund puppies along for the day - all of who were adopted within a week of the event! The afternoon was a fantastic opportunity to share our passion for animals in need with the team at Bachman Subaru, as well as the customers and clients visiting the dealership. We are so grateful for the dedicated support of Bachman Subaru to our mission, and to the lives of animals everywhere!

On October 22nd Bachman Subaru hosted a day devoted to pets that needed to be adopted. My husband works there as a salesman so of course he was probably one of the first to check them all out. Within no time he called me to tell me about a little female that he had his eye on. He said she was so cute and very playful. He then sent me photos of her and I knew then she was going to be ours. We had been taking about getting a pet for the house, so this wasn't just a whim but a decision we had already agreed upon. He decided to adopt her and went the next day to do so. I hadn't met her in person yet so I wasn't sure how she was going to take to me. He and our daughter went to pick her up and brought her straight home. When they walked in the door I was sitting in our recliner. They put her down on the floor and she ran straight to me and jumped up on my lap. She has been on my lap every chance she gets since then. I have never had a dog take to me so quickly and sincerely. Its as if she was waiting for us to adopt her. She is the sweetest little girl I have ever seen. We are so grateful that the Bachmans took time out of their day and business to connect people with pets. It's a blessing that we adopted her. Not only for her but for me as well. I've been under going chemo for the last six months. Its not been so bad physically but mentally it can tear you down. Having her here with me really is a blessing, and for this reason I thank Mr and Mrs Bachman for their thoughtfulness and dedication to their employees and their community. Sincerely, Belinda Sutton

Teachers and staff at Jeffersontown Elementary LOVE Subaru and thankful to partner with such an amazing organization. At Jeffersontown Elementary our motto is "Teamwork makes the dream work." Thank you Subaru for being a part of our team!

UofL Health Brown Cancer Center received Love Gifts of blanket and art kits from Bachman Subau. Patients experience long days when they have chemotherapy. The blankets will provide comfort and warmth during these times. The art kits will fill time during these long treatment days. In the art kits was a chap stick. Chemotherapy can be very drying and the chap stick will help to keep their lips moist. Patients are grateful for these Love Gifts and appreciate being thought of with blankets and art kits.

Special Olympics Kentucky has a long history of support and partnership with Bachman Subaru. Following the 2022 Share the Love® Event, we have been the grateful recipients of nearly $300,000 over the years. The efforts made by the local ownership, management and staff are the backbone of this success. We are grateful to have the opportunity to thank them personally on a few occasions throughout the year. It's a thrill for some of our athlete leaders to thank ALL of the Bachman Subaru family during this check presentation.

General Manager Jeff Harmon and son Justin attended the Louisville Polar Plunge to accept well-deserved recognition for the support provided to Special Olympics Kentucky through the Subaru Share the Love® Event. Over 1500 participants and spectators were onsite for this chilly challenge and to applaud Bachman Subaru for its continued dedication to the athletes with intellectual disabilities that we serve. The Share the Love event brings valuable community attention to our cause each year expanding awareness in ways we could not on our own.

In Kentucky, a state with a top-five child abuse rate, Maryhurst is saving kids' lives. Our work prevents abuse, restores hope, and empowers survivors. At the first sign of conflict, Maryhurst's counseling program partners with families to strengthen relationships and protect kids' safety. The Bachman Subaru donation of socks for our young people will be used with our residential program. For many of the young people in this program, they come to Maryhurst with the clothes on their back. Thanks to this donation, we will be able to provide each child in our care and as they are admitted with a pair of socks to call their own. Thank you, Bachman Subaru!

With the continued support of Bachman Subaru, Caitlin has continued to push herself to be the best athlete she can be. We were honored that she qualified for her second USA Games competition this year. Her dedication to the additional training and effort required to compete at the national level was inspiring to witness. She has learned how much potential she can achieve through participation in Special Olympics. – Michaele Roy, Mom/Coach

Animal Care Society and Bachman Subaru partnered together to host a month long adoption event. Thanks to the generosity of Subaru Loves Pets & Bachman Subaru 56 animals were able to find their forever homes but most importantly, get a second chance to love and be loved. Freckles is just one example of 56 pets that are now sleeping in the comfort of a home. Freckles came to the shelter, extremely misunderstood. Fully of energy and having very basic skills, ACS noticed something may be a little off. This guy at 10 months old, was deaf and no one throughout his life had noticed. But, because of this adoption event we had more adoptions than before. And Freckles found his mom and his forever family. He is now understood, cared for, and most importantly loved for the rest of life. This love connection couldn't have happened without the efforts of Subaru Loves Pets and Bachman Subaru!

Teachers at Jeffersontown Elementary LOVE Subaru! Six teachers changed grade levels this year and money donated from Subaru helped these teachers adjust to their new grades. They were able to purchase new organizational items, grade level books, furniture for flexible seating, and many more items to make learning fun! We appreciate Subaru for recognizing teachers as an imperative part of our community. At Jeffersontown Elementary our motto is "Teamwork makes the dream work." Thank you Subaru for being a part of our team!

You've brought thousands of blood cancer patients like Jimmy, Bella, Joshua, Stefani and Leo much warmth and comfort with the Subaru blankets and messages of hope. Thanks to generosity from Subaru and ASPCA, Animal Care Society (ACS) was able to have their most successful adoption event & day in the organization’s history! On October 30th of 2021 Animal Care Society hosted a Subaru Howl-O-Ween Adoption Event. This family friendly event included 50% reduced adoption fees, a costume contest, free photos with your pets, raffle baskets, trick or treating, and goodie bags! This event was extremely important to ACS, because there were 54 shelter animals who were looking for homes, and every shelter kennel was full. Thankfully, the event was a HUGE success, and lead to the most adoptions ACS has ever done in a single day, 11 adoptions. Not only did the event lead to 11 adoptions, but it also brought attention to the mission of Animal Care Society. Sixty-four people visited ACS, 21 people visited who did not know about ACS prior to the event, and nine people signed up to be shelter volunteers. This event also helped three of our longest stay animals find their home! These were dogs and a cat who had spent months in the shelter with little interest. ACS is incredible thankful to the impact that Subaru has had on our shelter and animals.

Special Olympics athletes Dallas Derringer, Caitlin Roy and Justin Harmon accepted a check for $33,219 from our friends at Bachman Subaru and Subaru of America, Inc. This incredible donation is the result of their 2020 Share the Love Event where Bachman Subaru once again included Special Olympics Kentucky as a local option. We are grateful for this support that continues to make possible 15 sports programs, a comprehensive health and wellness program, an athlete leadership program as well as others. Thank you, Bachman Subaru and Subaru of America!

The donations from Bachman Subaru and Share the Love support 11,000 Special Olympics Kentucky Athletes, like Cory Owens: One of my most exciting memories is when my team won regionals in basketball and we got to go to state tournament that year. I am good at defense so I get to guard the best player especially, the tall ones. Above all, what I like about Special Olympics is that I get to be with my friends and I like being active and getting exercise.
JENNIFER M.
Bachman Subaru supports Special Olympics Kentucky and makes stories like this possible: One of my most favorite SOKY memory is when I played in my very first basketball game, my whole family came to support me. When the game started they passed the ball to me and my first shot was a 3!! After the game I felt like a million dollars. SOKY has change my life in so many ways, it has boosted my confidence level and it has allowed me to meet and make many other friends and connections that I thought I would never have the chance to make. We have had quit the journey with our donated Subaru Outback that we received in 2017. It has made many trips around all three counties we serve. With so many volunteers helping our agency there are so many deliveries that have been made in the Subaru Outback. Our staff members have enjoyed driving the vehicle for trips other than meal deliveries. Several clients have had the chance to take a trip to the doctor and would not have made it there without the Subaru. This vehicle has been beneficial towards our agency's mission in serving as many seniors as possible throughout our counties. We would like to thank Bachman Subaru and Meals on Wheels for this generous gift that has made so many of our seniors have the opportunity to remain home with our meal program helping them along the way.

My name is Alesha and I work at The Animal Care Society. I actually was not planning on adopting for our Subaru and ASPCA adoption event, but Bibo changed everything. One of the great benefits of my job is that I get to bring my dog to work with me. My dog, Noodles comes in and spends every day in my office. Shortly after I started working here, I would bring shelter dogs into my office to give them more human interaction, socialize them with Noodles, and just give them the extra love they deserved. Bibo started coming to my office on September 3rd. Something that he struggled with was eating his food. We noticed immediately that he would eat all of it when he was with me. Even on the weekend when I’m not here, staff would bring him to my office to eat. He started playing with toys and he was overall so happy. We saw huge growth in Bibo’s personality, and I soon realized that we were attached to each other. He’d run to my office looking for me on the weekends. Even Noodles pouted and cried when I took Bibo back to his cage at the end of every day. I knew that Bibo was meant to be a part of my family. I had practically everyone in my life come and meet him. I even moved to a new apartment complex that allows 2 dogs. On October 23rd, I finally got to give Bibo his forever home and I officially adopted him. Bibo was originally surrendered to our shelter because he has bad skin problems. He was living on a farm at the time. Between the environment and the pesticides, he was bald. His hair grew back for the most part with medication and medicated baths. He has a few bald patches at itches a lot. He still gets medicated baths once a week and he’s on the way to being a normal, healthy dog again. Subaru is extremely special because they help shelters like ours. Bibo was one of 30 animals adopted during our adoption event. For every animal adopted, Subaru and ASPCA gave us $100. That helps provide for so many animals trying to get a second chance. It helps cover medical costs like Bibo’s and gives us resources to rescue even more animals. The Animal Care Society is so special because they exist to care for animals in need. They care deeply about animal’s well-beings and they go above and beyond to make sure that animals spend the rest of their lives in the perfect home for them. It’s great to know that Subaru supports the same mission. They go out of their way to support animals and shelters. Subaru has done so much for us and we’re so grateful for them. So many dogs and cats got second chances during our adoption event. Bibo has been the best companion I could ask for, and him and Noodles are adorable “siblings”. He sleeps very well at night knowing that he is finally rescued and in his forever home

Special Olympics means so much to me because it has given me a chance to be active and participate in sports. I participate in softball, bowling, basketball, and bocce. Special Olympics means meeting new people and making new friends, having teammates, and competing against other teams. Special Olympics has taught me both how to be independent and about teamwork, to have confidence in myself, and it has given me a voice because of the Athlete Leadership Program. It has brought me lots of happiness and new experiences in my life. Thank you Bachman Subaru for helping make all of this possible.

One of the many ways that Bachman Subaru’s Share the Love donation to Special Olympics Kentucky benefits individuals with intellectual disabilities is through the Healthy Athletes Program. Healthy Athletes is an extensive health screening and healthy lifestyle instruction program that includes vision, hearing, dental, flexibility and podiatry screenings and teaches healthy eating habits and coping strategies for athletes to deal with stressful or difficult situations. Healthy Athletes fills a care gap for our athletes, as individuals with intellectual disabilities are a medically underserved community. Often, the health screenings reveal moderate to serious health issues that had gone undiagnosed. Screenings are provided at various Special Olympics Kentucky events, including during our State Summer Games, our State Basketball Tournament and during our MedFest events. All are free of charge and are provided by volunteer medical personnel who have also received special training on working with people with intellectual disabilities. Healthy Athletes is just one of the ways that Special Olympics Kentucky changes the lives of those who participate.

Our agency has been through some trying times with COVID bringing our senior center activities to a halt. We had a great number of volunteers already assisting in delivering meals to our home bound seniors, but with COVID brought more homebound clients to our services for home delivered meals. Our governor ordered for all seniors to be able to receive meals from our agency throughout the state with no restrictions on qualifying factors for the Meals on Wheels program. The number of volunteers increased significantly throughout the communities we serve when that moment happened. They have really stepped up at each center to help the staff members deliver to our increased clientele that were asked to stay home due to their vulnerable age range. We have been profoundly grateful and blessed to have such wonderful people giving back in their communities. They have pushed through this pandemic with so much love towards our seniors who have been through so much and need that extra face to see throughout the weeks of isolation. Our volunteers have been true heroes in our agency's mission!

This past October, I teamed up with the Bachman staff to help plan the Drive Away Hunger event. I've been a Subaru Ambassador for almost 5 years and this is my favorite local meet to attend. I was honored the team allowed me to help as I love event planning! The Driver Away Hunger meet has been going on for the past 8 years and ever year our donations continue to increase. We were able to donate 782 lbs of food to Dare to Care right before the holiday season. As an Ambassador and enthusiast, there is no better feeling than making an impact while still enjoying time with friends and family. A big thanks to Bachman Subaru for all the love they spread to their employees and community. Customers like myself appreciate all the hard work you continue to do year after year.

Bachman truly does make the difference, and their impact reaches far beyond the business world. As part of the Subaru Loves Learning initiative, Bachman Subaru partnered with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) to make science education more accessible to K-12 students. Bachman Subaru was generous enough to donate 150 award-winning science books to Jeffersontown Elementary School. These books will be distributed to every single classroom throughout the school. We are confident that Bachman’s contribution will help inspire young minds to love to learn about the world around them. Our hope is that these kids will grow up to be thankful for the amazing world that they have the privilege of living in, that they will be thankful that they had the opportunity to receive a quality education, and that they will continue the pattern of generosity that Bachman has demonstrated. From the students, faculty, staff, and all the parents, thank you to Bachman Subaru for helping our kids love to learn.

ACS is a small but mighty shelter, we are always fundraising to be able to bring more pets in to the shelter and be able to cover their medical cost, their preventatives and day to day needs. With the constant fundraising, we love it when we receive assistance. The cash donation and all the supplies are a Welcome sight!! ACS took in 16 puppies from a rural shelter last week and while we were busy giving bath for all the fleas and ticks we noticed some were really sick and 5 were rushed to the vet hospital, diagnosed with the deadly Parvo virus and every kind of worm possible for a dog. Each puppy will have a bill of around $800 that times five equals $4,000 in just 2 days. Special Olympics Kentucky is thrilled to have the opportunity to continue our partnership with Bachman Subaru and the Share the Love Event. In our six years of partnership with Bachman, they have raised more than $150,000 on behalf of our athletes. That money has helped to change the lives of countless Special Olympics athletes through sports and health and school communitybuilding programs in Louisville and throughout the state. We are honored that Bachman Subaru has chosen our athletes as a support option in this wonderful program.

Jeffersontown Elementary and SUBARU Loves LearningIn August of 2018, as part of the Subaru Loves Learning initiative, Bachman Subaru partnered with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) to make science accessible to K-12 students. Bachman donated 150 award-winning science books to Jeffersontown Elementary School in Louisville, KY. They also collected pencils, notebooks, glue sticks, crayons, and supply boxes for our students. Our students and faculty were incredibly appreciative of Bachman Subaru’s generosity. It was great to have Teresa Bachman, their Dealer Principal, visit with our team as well and even speak to some of our students. We learned that Subaru Loves Learning is a part of The Subaru Loves Promise Community Commitment program that Bachman Subaru participates in. We see the commercials on TV and pass by the dealership all the time, but it was such an honor to witness their commitment to their community, to children, and to science first handThank you Bachman Subaru for your kindness and generosity to our JTown Family!

After hearing stories of outreach initiatives that yielded no results Subaru did not pass us by or the frail elderly we serve daily with a hot meal. In late 2017 Subaru presented us with a brand new Subaru Outback to assist us in continuing services in the rural communities of Trimble, HEnry and Oldham County in Kentucky. As one of 50 recipients across the nation to receive this gift (50 cars for 50 years) we were overwhelmed with the generosity of Subaru of America. Bachman Subaru, our local Subaru dealership has always been an active member of the Kentuckiana communities, pitching in where ever needed. Bachman devoted time and money to the delivery of the vehicle and participated in the celebration! Bachman also participates with Share the Love event annually and this years event equates to $2,300 worth of additional meals in our community. But that's not all! Bachman Subaru has stepped out and continues to lean into supporting their community. This spring Bachman took the time to host a Stuff the Subaru event at the dealership on their showroom floor, soliciting donations of non-perishable items for those in need and bringing awareness to the need of the frailest members in our community. Thank you Bachman for your willingness to help and always having our back!

I learned how to work together as a team. Special Olympics KY is a wonderful support system. Athletes encourage one another in track, bowling, and swimming. So you can think of SOKY as one big family. We do our sport we do it with pride and skill and Joy. We are one big happy SOKY family. Thank you Bachman Subaru! What does “Share the Love” mean to me? It’s means to treat each athlete with respect and love. And Special Olympics is a great support system. I learned a lot of confidence through all the sports. Thanks for supporting Special Olympics Kentucky athletes. Hayden Redmon Special Olympics KY Athlete Ambassarod

Tri-County Community Action has delivered meals on wheels within this community for years, struggling to bring awareness of the needs and to find volunteers ready and willing to give of themselves to this program. We attempt to reach the community in multiple ways, phone calls, outreach to Churches, participating in community festivals, and any other opportunity that presents itself. For years sitting at a table handing out information about the Meals on Wheels program has never yielded significant interest and primarily leaves us sitting hoping one or two people might inquire. This year was and is significantly different, utilizing the new Subaru as a prop generated interest that we had never witnessed. We placed inside the Subaru large Teddy Bears named Mr. and Mrs. Bear who were equipped with a a meal delivery bag and meal delivery sheet listing receipents such as Mickey Mouse, Superman, Wonder Woman who were to receive a meal. The sign on the front wind shield noted that if Mr. and Mrs. Bear could devote time to deliver meals the community members could as well. We were overwhelmed with the inquiries and the number of volunteers generated from utilizing the Subaru to draw attention. The Subaru continues to be a mobile marketing tool to increase awareness of the needs of the elderly. Tri-County takes every opportunity to showcase the vehicle at Community events. Without the support of Subaru and their very generous donation we would still be struggling to bring awareness, the vehicle continues to be a beacon of light in our community every time it travels the country back roads of our community. Thank You Subaru!

On the day our Subaru was delivered it gave our staff and our community renewed hope in the Mission of the agency and the work we were struggling daily to provide. As a very small rural program at times it seemed like we were fighting a losing battle, staff were discouraged, volunteers were hard to find, the need increased and funding decreased. The award of the vehicle brought awareness in our community, with two separate television stations reporting, Theresa Bachman from Bachman Subaru and Subaru of America representatives present to speak to the audience, local officials took notice and somewhere in all the festivities it brought renewed hope to a staff who might have given up the fight without this encouragement. The agency which has been serving this community for 43 years suddenly was in demand with new volunteers calling, request from other service providers in the community reaching out and requesting to partner with us to meet the need. This donated vehicle, in which we simply initially thought would help us to reach the previously unreachable has breathed new life and hope for a brighter tomorrow. People are so excited to see it in the community, to hear the story of the donation, to know there is still good in the world, everyone wants a ride and that certainly has increased the number of volunteers! Thank you Subaru! We cannot express what a difference this has made in our program.

Special Olympics Kentucky is so happy to partner with Bachman Subaru during the 2016 Share the Love Event, which resulted in a $40,002.55 donation to support their athletes. A portion of the donation helped underwrite the cost of the 2017 Special Olympics Kentucky State Basketball Tournament, which included more than 750 athletes. It also helped provide Special Smiles dental screenings and Health Promotion healthy lifestyle instruction for athletes at the Tournament. Bachman’s support also assisted the annual Louisville Polar Plunge, which helped raise an additional $155,000 for Special Olympics. Remaining funds helped provide sports, health and school community building programs to better the lives of more than 8,400 Special Olympics athletes statewide.

Thank you so much for your wonderful donations of collected items, supplies and monetary funds, and the generous check in the amount of $1,000.00 to the Animal Care Society. Your kindness makes a huge difference in the lives of the hundreds of dogs and cars that pass through our doors every year in hopes of a happy future and loving home! We greatly appreciate your continued support! As you can imagine, it takes a lot of time, hard work, supplies, and funds to provide our 'guests' with an environment that is as close to home as possible during their stay with us. Without the generosity of animal lovers like you, this task would be much more daunting. So, on behalf of the dogs and cats who trust us to make up for their past by providing them with a bright future as a beloved pet in a lifetime home, our tremendous gratitude to you for believing in our mission and for showing your support. Thanks again, Bunny Zeller Executive Director

Bachman Subaru held our 2nd annual Subaru Loves Pets event this past Saturday, October 22nd with the Animal Care Society of Louisville. The dealer had a supply drive set-up for a couple weeks prior, and then the Animal Care Society was on hand for the day of the event. Several animals were brought into Bachman Subaru along a dozen more pictures of animals in need of a new home. The Animal Care Society gave out basic information about the adoption process and how people could help support their efforts in Louisville. Numerous donations of pet supplies were made, around $200 in cash was collected, and Bachman Subaru is contributing an additional $1,000 check to help with the efforts.

We at Bachman Subaru are proud to be a partner of the Dare to Care Food Bank. We feel strongly that we should help those in our community who are less fortunate, and Dare to Care is a great avenue for us to do just that. Dare to Care's mission is to be a leader in the community to feed the hungry and conquer the cycle of need with the goal of a hunger-free Kentuckiana. In October 2014, Bachman Subaru conducted a food drive to help stock the shelves of the Food Bank for the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday seasons. The capstone event to this food drive was a car show that we called "Drive Away Hunger" in order to promote our partnership with Dare to Care. We had a great turnout of around 75 cars, primarily WRXs, STIs and BRZs, along with other imports as well and collected lots of canned food items for Dare to Care. We had a fun day and enjoyed sharing our love for Subaru with others in the community. Thanks to all of our employees and customers, we gathered over 3,200 food items weighing 2,745 pounds! What a joy it was to be able to deliver loads of food to Dare to Care which will use it to help feed those in our community who are in need.

In conjunction with the 2012 Subaru Share the Love Event, Bachman Subaru conducted a canned food drive to benefit the Dare to Care Food Bank. With the help of our employees and customers we were able to collect over 3,000 food items weighing over 2,700 pounds! We filled four Subaru Outbacks with the food we collected and delivered it to the Dare to Care warehouse. Once the food was delivered to the warehouse, we helped to sort food so that it could be stored and then ultimately delivered to members of our community in need of assistance. Here at Bachman Subaru, we feel strongly about supporting our community, especially the less fortunate. We are proud to partner with the Dare to Care Food Bank to do our part to help.

We at Bachman Subaru are proud to have partnered with Special Olympics Kentucky during the 2013 Share the Love Event, which resulted in a $10,791.66 donation to support their cause. The donation made a large impact in driving the Healthy Athletes Program. This program provides free health screens to over 7,000 special needs athletes across Kentucky. Using funds from the Share the Love Event, the program was expanded at the KY State Basketball Tournament to include dental and vision screens as well. The special needs community is vastly underserved when it comes to dental and vision screening and often these free screens are the only routine checks received by special needs children and adults. Bachman Subaru is honored to help provide sports programs and health initiatives to support special needs individuals and families across the state of Kentucky.
